Cheese braid with green sauce

INGREDIENTS

600 NAVARRO® Oaxaca Cheese

3 eggs

1 cup flour

1 cup thick breadcrumbs

2 cups kitchen oil

12 green tomatoes

1 tablespoon onion

2 serrano peppers (to taste)

1 cup fresh cilantro


PREPARATION

FOR THE SAUCE

1. In enough water, cook onion, serrano pepper and green tomato until soft, blend with fresh cilantro and season with salt. Leaving a light consistency. Reheat a little to serve hot.

FOR THE BRAID

2. Remove strips of NAVARRO® Oaxaca Cheese approximately 25 cm long, put three pieces together, secure with a toothpick the 3 ends and start to interlace each strip, until forming the whole braid, leaving a little tight.

3. Dip braid in flour, then in egg and finally in breadcrumbs, if necessary dip it more than once, freeze for 1 hour.

4. Heat oil, dip braid until it has a crunchy crust, remove and remove excess grease with absorbent paper. Serve with hot green sauce.

NOTE: It can be garnished with refried beans and flour tortillas.
